Workshops

Explorer

Build the foundation. Learn how things work.

Explorer workshops introduce students to the core principles and vocabulary of STEM through structured, hands-on projects. Students learn by building and experimenting, with clear guidance every step of the way.

Each session features instructor-led demonstrations, step-by-step activities, and real-time feedback, helping students understand not just what to do—but how and why it works.

Maker

Build with purpose. Learn through iteration.

Maker workshops challenge students to apply their foundational skills to more open-ended, real-world problems. Students move beyond step-by-step instruction to plan, build, and refine their own designs with guided support.

In this phase, instructors shift into the role of facilitators and design reviewers, helping students think critically, troubleshoot effectively, and improve their work through iteration. Projects emphasize the engineering design process, encouraging students to test ideas, learn from failure, and make thoughtful improvements.

Innovator

Create with purpose. Lead your own innovation.

Innovator workshops empower students to take full ownership of their ideas—defining problems, designing solutions, and bringing projects to life from start to finish. This capstone-style experience mirrors real-world engineering and university-level design work.

Students drive their own projects through an iterative process of testing, reflection, and improvement, with instructors serving as mentors and technical advisors. The experience culminates in a public presentation and demo day, where students showcase their work and communicate their ideas.
